  • Breaking News: Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Centre plans start to be revealed!

    Recently, is has come to Safari Sundown's attention that the park have recently started to add plans to the planning application submitted to Wyre Forest Council.

    The only plan on the application at the moment is the confirmed location, which will be on Bunker's Hill, close to the roundabout for Bewdley Town Centre & Kidderminster.

    It's thought from the plans and concept arts that there will be new exits added to the roundabout for the Hotel & Waterpark as a drop off/Bus stop area.

    It's now thought that the development plan is full steam ahead, and our Hotel & Waterpark mini site will be online within the next few days.

  • Weather Conditions- 23rd March 2013

    West Midland Safari Park is set to be OPEN on 23rd March 2013 despite the heavy snowfall during Thursday evening, Friday Afternoon & Friday evening.

    We will bring you full updates on the Facebook page, Twitter page & website regarding the status of the park.

    Some rides & attractions in the Amusement Area may be CLOSED due to cold weather & low temperatures. The snow may also effect the roads on the safari drive through, however these are normally gritted and cleared in time for park opening.

    If your travelling to the park this weekend, drive carefully and take full consideration that some attractions/areas of West Midland Safari Park may be closed due to health and safety regulations.

  • Breaking News: Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Centre plans submitted

    The plans for the Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Centre have NOW been submitted to the council. The park first confirmed the first stage of the new multi-million pound development scheme back in 2011, and the plans were expected to be submitted in early 2013.

    The plan has been submitted on the councils website, however it is only a minor plan. The plan is regarding a new screening option under regulation 5 of the town & country planning regulations regarding the Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Suite. It's thought full plans will be released in the next few weeks with planning pictures.

    If the plans are confirmed, it's thought the development will open during the 2015/16 season.

  • NEW Lion exhibit throughout safari

    West Midland Safari Park have finally finished the new lion exhibit during the safari-drive through. The new exhibit cost £3/4 million pounds, and have a large quantity of theming.

    The exhibit is NOW OPEN and can be experienced throughout the safari. A picture below can be found of just some of the new theming in place for the exhibit.

    The park have also stepped up the promotional material for the new exhibit. including new posters & backgrounds on the main website.

    We will have a FULL review over the coming weeks along with photography of the exhibit.
